AI Disclosure Policy
Where MAP uses AI, how we use it, and what it never does.
Rule-based context record generation
MAP’s context records are produced by rule-based extraction code that reads a page’s HTML and metadata; no generative AI model writes or alters record text. As of October 2026 no AI model is used to generate them. Context records are generated and written to the ledger automatically, usually within minutes of MAP seeing the page (a queue processes them), with no per-record human review before publication. MAP’s founder maintains the extraction code.

RSS and feed processing
MAP’s RSS importer uses automated processing to ingest and index content from publisher feeds. No AI generates or alters the content itself.

Intelligence module analysis
MAP Context™ intelligence modules are planned and not yet available; this entry describes how AI-generated analysis would be handled. Any AI-generated analysis will be labeled as such.

MAP does not use AI-generated responses in customer support, editorial correspondence, or communications with publishers.
Human only
MAP’s founder uses AI coding and writing assistants to help build and maintain this website and its code; they do not write record text. Certification and correction decisions are made by a person. MAP does not currently use AI to generate records. If that changes, this policy will say so first, and AI will not be used to issue scores or make final editorial decisions. Ledger entries are written by the automated pipeline, without per-record human review.
We update this policy whenever our use of AI changes materially. Last updated: October 2026.
