The people who conduct publisher verifications, produce MAP Context™ analysis, write the MAP Brief, and maintain MAP’s editorial standards.

Verification team

MAP’s verification team is responsible for conducting publisher reviews, applying MAP Verified™ methodology, processing verification requests, managing appeals, and maintaining the accuracy of all published verification records.

All verification decisions are made by staff reviewers who have completed MAP’s internal verification training program. No verification decision is made solely by automated analysis. All AI-assisted analysis is reviewed and approved by a staff member before being included in a verification record.

MAP Context™ analysis

MAP Context™ analysts develop and maintain the analysis frameworks used across MAP’s five intelligence modules: Context Analysis, Media Context Reports, Narrative Analysis, Source Context Reports, and Transparency Explanations. They review pipeline outputs for quality, handle edge cases in the analysis process, and contribute to ongoing methodology development.

Editorial and publishing

MAP's editorial team produces The MAP Brief, manages the Verification Archive, and publishes all editorial content on mediaalertpress.com/. Editorial team members operate under MAP's Editorial Standards and are not involved in commercial or enterprise relationships.
