Before you pitch a client’s story, know the outlet’s actual track record.
You’re already vetting sources under deadline pressure. MAP Verified documents the observable record around any publisher or article — where a story originated, who’s cited, how framing shifted over time — so you can check before you pitch, not after a client asks why.
What Publisher Certification actually is
A real, staff-reviewed application — not an automated score, not something you can buy your way into. MAP does not rate credibility or trustworthiness anywhere on the platform, including here. Certification confirms a set of documented, verifiable facts about a publisher’s practices: ownership disclosure, editorial policy, correction visibility, author transparency — presented as a record, not a verdict.
Why this holds up when a client asks “how do you know?”
Every record MAP produces is written into a SHA-256 hash-chained ledger — the same record can’t be quietly revised after the fact the way a competitor’s rating could be. You’re not asking a client to trust MAP’s word; you’re handing them something independently checkable.
Real application, staff-reviewed. Not a form that auto-approves.
