Cookie & Tracking Consent Policy

How MAP uses cookies and similar technologies, and how to control them.

Last updated: July 2026

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and understand how it’s being used.

2. Types of cookies we use

Strictly necessary — required for core site functionality (WordPress session/security cookies). Analytics — Google Analytics 4, used to understand site usage; you can opt out via the cookie banner or your browser. Advertising — if we run advertising in the future, we will disclose the specific providers here before enabling any advertising cookies. We do not currently use advertising cookies.

3. Legal basis

Under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, non-essential cookies (such as analytics) are set only with your consent, given through our on-site cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interest, since the site cannot function without them.

4. Managing your preferences

You can accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies via the consent banner shown on your first visit, or change your preference at any time by clearing your cookies and revisiting the site. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

5. Do Not Track

We honor browser-based Do Not Track signals by disabling non-essential analytics cookies for users who enable DNT.

6. Retention

Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Analytics cookies persist for up to 12 months. Your consent preference is remembered for 12 months, after which we will ask again.
